The Dock Stool was designed and manufactured by the Johnston brothers. With one brother owning the cottage, and the other brother owning a steel fabrication company, they became the perfect pair to invent and create this refreshing product.
The story behind the Dock Stool begins at a cottage in the beautiful Muskoka district in Ontario. It was a hot, sunny day that was being enjoyed with friends. At one point a friend asked “where is the swim up bar?” That is all it took for the creative ideas to fly! Eventually, it lead to “what if we had a seat on the side of the dock that we could cool off on?” The Johnston brothers have since taken the idea and ran with it, creating the Dock Stool.
